Why Women’s Circles Matter, Now More Than Ever
Blog #6- 16/06/25
There’s something profoundly healing about being truly seen. Not judged. Not advised. Not rescued. Just witnessed.
This is the essence of the Sacred Sister Circle.
In a world that so often demands we perform, produce, or pretend, women’s circles offer something radically different.
A soft place to land.
A return to the ancient.
A sacred pause in a world that never stops asking more of us.
A Place to Be—Not Perform
Each circle is a gentle unfolding.
There is no pressure to be anyone other than yourself.
No one will ask you to explain your pain, justify your joy, or hold back your tears.
Your truth is enough.
Your presence is your offering.
In circle, we don’t fix each other.
We hold.
We listen.
We witness.
We sit side by side, often with women of different ages and life stages—something so many of us are deeply missing.
There is something profoundly healing about hearing a mother, a grandmother, a young woman, or an elder share from her life, her body, her wisdom.
In circle, we remember: we are not alone.
Reclaiming the Feminine Way
For too long, many of us have felt we need to keep up with the pace of a world that wasn’t built for us.
We push through exhaustion.
We override our cycles.
We disconnect from the wisdom of slowness, emotion, and intuition.
In circle, we reclaim the feminine way of being:
🌙 Cyclic.
🌊 Emotional.
🌿 Intuitive.
🔥 Expressive.
👣 Interconnected.
This isn’t about stepping back in time.
It’s about remembering what’s been buried—by burnout, by conditioning, by busyness—and bringing it forward again.
We don’t need to do it alone anymore.
We were never meant to.
Holding All of Who We Are
Life is messy and beautiful.
We carry grief, rage, joy, birth, change, and loss—all often in the same breath.
And yet, so often, we feel we must carry it alone.
Circle is a place where every part of you is welcome.
Your tears. Your silence. Your laughter. Your questions. Your stillness.
This is not about healing in the conventional sense.
It’s about being held through the complexity of being human—and being woman.
Together.
A Cure for Loneliness (That Isn’t More Scrolling)
Loneliness is everywhere now, even for women surrounded by people.
The constant noise, the lack of meaningful connection, the pressure to keep going... it wears us thin.
Women’s circles offer a remedy not found in apps or self-help books.
They offer belonging.
Not just in community, but in your own skin.
In your own body.
In the season of life you’re in—whatever that looks like.
A Return to Ritual and Rhythm
Each Sacred Sister Circle weaves together elements that anchor us back into the body and soul: It’s hard to explain in words—because the magic is in the feeling.
✨ Ritual – marking transitions, honouring intention, grounding presence– simple, sacred acts that mark time and intention- we have specific rituals that lead us into sharing, and close our time of sharing, grounding us to go back out into the world
🌀 Sharing – open-hearted sharing, with no fixing or advice- based around a theme for that month
🌿 Nature & Seasons – aligning with the moon, the cycles of life, the rhythms within
🤍 Silence – time to breathe, integrate, and just be
It’s not about what you say or do.
It’s about what you remember while you’re there.
If You’re Craving Something More…
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or like something inside you is calling for a deeper connection… this is for you.
If you're missing intergenerational wisdom, space to be witnessed, or moments where your emotions are welcome—this is for you.
If you're longing for a slower pace, deeper conversations, and sacred community—this is for you.
This is not a self-improvement space.
This is a self-return space.
A circle where you can come exactly as you are.
No fixing. No pressure. Just presence.

Why This Matters
Many of us live in a constant state of alertness: tending to others, juggling roles, holding grief silently, and wondering if we’re the only ones who feel the way we do.
We are more disconnected now than ever, our village of people supporting us in raising our families and finding joy in our lives, for many of us, is non existent or we barely have time for our people.
Circle reminds us that we are not alone.
That our stories matter.
That there is strength in softness.
And that the feminine—raw, wild, wise—is worth honouring.
You don’t need to be spiritual.
You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t need to share if you’re not ready.
You just need to come, as you are.
If This Calls to You…
The Sacred Sister Circle gathers monthly, near the full moon, in person in Latrobe, in my backyard home studio, on the North West coast of Tasmania. We will have the fire lit in winter, children are welcome, and we always have warm drinks and a meal to share.
Spots are limited to keep the container intimate and safe.
